We are proud of the community activities of our lawyers and our staff. Below are some of those activities
Bob Buckley
Bob is very active with his church, Maywood Baptist Church. He serves as the mediator, presiding over all church business meetings and he also teaches Bible Study.
Bob has also been very active at William Chrisman High School, serving as the schools Booster Club President for five years. He also has served as the announcer for all of the Varsity football and boy's basketball games for the past five years.
Bob and his wife, Kim have been funding an annual scholarship at William Chrisman High School for the past five years and have helped over 20 students with scholarships. In addition, they have created a donor-advised fund at the Truman Heartland Foundation that they hope to use to help disadvantaged youth in northern Independence.
In addition, Bob has started a new program for young athletes in northern Independence. Bob has established a not-for-profit organization, called "Bears Tomorrow" which is directed to future students of William Chrisman High School to give them opportunities to compete at higher levels in sports programs.
Kim Buckley
Kim is very active with her church, Maywood Baptist Church. She has been teaching the Bible to 7th and 8th graders for over 10 years and has also mentored several students. Many students still call her "Momma Kim" because of their affection for her. She currently serves as a "soul sister" to a young lady that needs direction and mentoring in her life, which involves weekly meetings to provide guidance and counseling to her.
Kathy Austin
Kathy has been very active with the Booster Club of Fort Osage High School and served in various offices, including Vice-President. Her children are active in various sports programs at the school and Kathy and her husband have been supporting not only their own children but other students as well.
Denise Sandberg
Denise is very active with her church, Maywood Baptist Church. Denise teaches Bible Study to senior high students. Denise was instrumental in starting a new program for junior high and senior high girls in the church called "Soul Sisters" giving many girls in the church the direction and guidance they need to become successful students and members of the community.
