Gene has been practicing law in Independence since 1985. He began his practice with his father, Gene P. Graham, Sr. and then joined this firm in 1990 after his father retired. Judges and peers alike recognize Gene as a fierce advocate in the courtroom. He has tried numerous jury trials in state and federal court. Gene has been co-counsel on three class action discrimination cases. Gene has also successfully pursued several cases of sexual and racial discrimination as well as many sexual harassment cases. In addition, Gene has represented clients injured as a result of motor vehicle collisions, defective and dangerous products, medical negligence and dangerous conditions of property.

Gene has been recognized by his peers and judges as an A/V lawyer which means that he has the highest rating for legal ability and professional integrity.

Gene is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, a member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Board of Trial Advocacy, the Missouri Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and former President of the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association. He speaks frequently at continuing legal education programs sponsored by the local bar associations and the Missouri Bar. He is currently a member of the Long Range Planning Committee and the Kansas City Law Foundation of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

Gene's proudest achievements are his three children, Patrick, Lindsey and Jack. Gene and his wife, Lori, now live in Lee's Summit, but he grew up in Raytown, having graduated from Raytown South High School.
